1. Definitions
-
Customer: The individual reserving and/or using a storage cell.
-
Cell / Locker: The storage compartment within the automated unit (small/large).
-
Reservation: The purchase of the right to use a cell for a selected duration.
-
Prepaid Period: The initial interval chosen and paid for by the Customer.
-
Commission: The fee for the actual use of the cell (as per Annex 1).
-
Penalties: Amounts due for exceeding the prepaid period (as per Annex 1).
2. Locations and Host-Partners
The service is available only at active locations displayed on www.efiqobox.com and/or related listings (e.g., Google Maps), subject to availability.
Automated Units may be placed within the premises of partners (commercial spaces, hotels, stations, restaurants, etc.). The Partner is exclusively a location host and is not a party to the storage contract; the contract is always concluded between the Customer and the Operator.
3. Service Workflow
-
The Customer selects the cell type (small/large) and duration, enters an email address, accepts the T&Cs, and completes payment.
-
The System sends the access code and/or QR code (“Access Key”) via email.
-
The Reservation begins upon the first closing of the reserved cell door.
-
During the paid period, the Customer may open/close the cell an unlimited number of times.
-
Upon retrieval, if there are outstanding balances (actual usage + penalties), these must be settled before the cell is unlocked/opened.
4. Customer Email Responsibility
Communication of the code/QR code is conducted exclusively via email. The Customer is responsible for:
-
Providing a valid email address to which they have immediate access;
-
Checking Spam/Promotions folders.
The Operator is not liable for the inability to access the cell caused by an incorrect or inaccessible email address provided by the Customer.
5. Pricing, VAT, and Overtime
-
Prices include VAT and are displayed at the EFIQO Box and in Annex 1.
-
Time is calculated in increments (1h/2h/3h/4h and daily thereafter) according to the tariff grid.
-
Exceeding the Prepaid Period: If the Customer exceeds the prepaid period, they shall owe:
-
The Commission for the period actually used (per grid); and
-
Penalties for overtime (per grid).
-
-
Payment must be settled at retrieval or before unlocking/opening. Any overtime is subject to penalties.
6. Payment, Non-Payment Lockout, and Invoicing
-
Payment: Payments are card-only via POS (at the unit) or online via QR code (depending on unit configuration). If payment fails, the cell may remain locked until all debts are cleared.
-
Payment Documents / Invoices: The Customer receives electronic payment confirmation. Invoices are issued upon request via email within 48–72 hours of providing:
-
Individuals: Full name, complete address, email, Reservation ID/proof of payment.
-
Legal Entities: Company name, Tax ID, registered office, email, (optional: RC number), Reservation ID/proof of payment.
-
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Reservations cannot be canceled and payments are non-refundable, except for:
-
Situations where the service cannot be provided due to the Operator’s fault (e.g., unit unavailable/malfunction).
-
Demonstrable billing errors (e.g., double charging).
8. Dimensions, Weight, and Proper Use
-
Cell dimensions are displayed on the unit facade. The Customer is responsible for selecting the appropriate size.
-
Changing cells/locations after payment is not permitted.
-
Maximum weight: 40 kg per cell.

Forcing the door or inserting items exceeding cell dimensions is prohibited. Repair and unlocking costs resulting from forced entry shall be borne by the Customer.

10. Access Key (Code/QR) Security
The Access Key grants full access to the cell. The Customer is solely responsible for the Access Key and any third-party access resulting from sharing it. The Operator may temporarily block access if fraud is suspected.
11. Liability and Limitation of Liability
The Operator is liable only for direct damages caused by proven fault (e.g., system errors, unauthorized access attributable to the Operator).
-
Compensation Cap: Total compensation is limited to 10× the paid fee, not exceeding 200 RON for small cells or 300 RON for large cells.
-
